Ouch! Rough Weekend

Although I've been constantly updating the Honor Bright Fan Page, the Google gods took notice that I haven't been actually promoting the page in a few days. As of this morning, my page ranking has dipped to Number 164 in the Music category. Looks like it's time to get back to work. FYI, some of my time was spent building a page for "girl-kissing" sensation Katy Perry. It's a long way from being done, but check it out if you get a chance. Thanks

Settling in at #70

It's amazing how fickle web site rankings can be. As soon as traffic tapers off slightly, the search engines take notice. I've added a lot of new content to the Honor Bright Fan Page, including HB guitarist Ryan Gilmore's list of bands who have influenced Honor Bright. Thanks for the lightning-fast reply, Ry! I also added some of my own "Recommended-If-You-Like-Honor Bright" cd's. All of the music recommendations are linked to Amazon, which will make purchasing any of the cd's simple and secure. And speaking of Syracuse (smooth segue, huh?), Honor Bright has been added to the Chevrolet Court lineup at the Great New York State Fair on Sunday August 31st. Another Big Leap! #63...and Climbing

My Honor Bright Fan Page a.k.a. Everything Honor Bright continues to gain momentum, climbing to #63 in the Squidoo Music Category and #1721 overall. OK, enough for now, I'm still trying to recover from the incredible Chiodos show in Syracuse last night. Too bad Honor Bright didn't open.

OK, I'll start with my daily update on the progress of my Honor Bright Fan Page on Squidoo. As of this morning, it has climbed to #93 in the Music category and #2218 overall.

Also, I was checking out Honor Bright at purevolume.com. They are torching both the Most Played and Most Downloaded charts. Currently, they are ranked in the Top 10 of every eligible category...

Into the Top 100...

For my own sake, I'm going to track the progress of my Honor Bright Fan Page hosted on Squidoo, a domain that Google seems to like a lot. As of this morning, the page is ranked #97 in the Music category and #2269 overall, which puts it ahead of pages for Paramore, The White Stripes, Eminem and Natasha Bedingfield, to name a few. Look out Coldplay, you're next. Hey, not bad for only having been published a couple weeks ago. Thanks for all the support and make sure to keep checking back - I'm constantly updating. I want to get this page, and the band, to #1.

Number 100 and Climbing!

You guys are amazing! In just two weeks you have pushed my Honor Bright Fan Page into Squidoo's Top 100 Music Pages. Phenomenal considering the heavy-hitters on the list. You name the band and you'll find a page (or many more) dedicated to them on that domain. There's over 15,000 pages in the Music category alone, so reaching the Top 100 is...well, you get the point. Google is also loving the sight and placing my sight near the top of several "honor bright-related" searches. I'm getting a bunch of hits directly from Google now. Very cool! Honor Bright Buzzzzzzz

So what happens when a local band plays the Vans Warped Tour, MTV's TRL, and three CD-release shows in less than two weeks? Buzzzzzz!!! I'm seeing the results first-hand on the fan page I created for Syracuse's Honor Bright. As of today, my site ranking has climbed to #114 in the Google-favored domain's Music category. Not bad considering it was ranking in the hundred-thousands a couple weeks ago. The power of Buzzzzzzz...

My New Honor Bright Blog

Honor Bright...It's not often that something exciting happens to a band in Central New York, but that changed dramatically in the past few weeks. Honor Bright, a five-piece, pop-punk band from Syracuse has taken some major steps toward rock 'n' roll stardom. Their rabid fan base was responsible for their inclusion on the Buffalo date of the Vans Warped Tour, July 24th, where they lit up the Ernie Ball Stage. The following week, they appeared on MTV's high-profile weekday program, TRL, where they performed an acoustic version of "Home Is a Heartache". Their MTV appearance was followed by the release of their new CD "If This Was a Movie", and three CD release shows in three different venues, August 1-3. Success could not come to five nicer guys.
